Wired UK are reporting on the surveillance tools that some universities are using on their students.

What you mean is "if anyone could be bothered to check the thousands of students accounts, it would be possible to establish which books they borrowed from the library"

You could do this for every library in the UK.

If you are that concerned about out monitoring, I am surprised that you use this site.
