Who are you talking to?

Im constantly amazed that the vast morjority of people on here assume that it is the female that they are talking to when messaging. Even when we rotate our profile pic to show a couple pic or a pic of me (male).

So do you assume you know who you are talking to and why?

Strangely we have the opposite, most presume it's M talking. We try and sign off with M or F so it is clear who they are talking to.

I assume I'm talking to both (separately or together) unless they specify, which they often do.

I think of them as an androgynous entity until I've met them in person. Could be anyone behind the text. Young old man woman biscuit.

We don’t have a problem with this so much as we have a little pet peeve when they try to single out one half of us.

We always try and introduce the fact that we’re a couple and both use the profile - when that gets ignored and people continue chatting to (mainly the Mrs - she’s much hotter after all) us as though we’re a single person we tend to end those convos pretty sharpish!

Why don't couples say at start who is chatting? Why is responsibility always put on the other person?

I'm contacted by them and they never say who it is, I assume it's the male, if I ask tho I always get told its the female but the content leads me to believe otherwise.

If messaging a couple, I use language as such, as in "you both", sometimes I use "yous" which I dislike, but rather that than assume either or

Why don’t couples say who it is, instead of playing this game where we are guessing, seems to be this weird power thing that some couples do, it’s bizarre.

We generally find it's the men that message us from couples. We never assume anything. Men always seem to assume its Lu they are talking to. Which boils our piss a bit. So we always reply with our fab names.
