Have announced they are aligning prices of all ‘free from foods’ personally I think it’s about time!!!

Why should you have to pay more if you have food intolerances.

Or does this mean they're putting the prices of "normal" foods up to match the "free from" foods??

"Im assuming that's vegan stuff too "

Probably because Asda introduced isles dedicated to vegan food a couple of weeks ago.

I assumed it was more expensive as they sold less of it so they don't have economy of scale.

It's more expensive, so they'll be taking the hit on the profits in exchange for some goodwill and free advertising.

Not that this impacts me at all but I have always thought that was a strange practice. It's about time really, I approve

They've just been sold, so there's quite a few changes in the pipeline.

I'd say a good 40% of the free from stuff gets reduced because of short dates with low quantities of stock that comes in to begin with. So more affordable pricing on that basis alone makes sense.

I'm going to guess it only applies to their own brand foods because brands get some say in pricing and promotions

I've already noticed that the brand of milk (koko) i drink is 51p cheaper than in other supermarkets near to me!
