BDSM is always going to be considered demeaning to those women who feel that all women should never be subservient to any man. The point they miss entirely is that submissive women love being submissive women to dominant men (or other women) in a sexual context.

She's soooo beautiful!

Aww bless her. Excellent find! Loving the reader's comments too.

I have Madonna's Sex book and it's nothng like the Grey books!! Madonna's book has naked pics, I'm pretty sure the Grey books aren't illustrated? If kids see just words.... I highly doubt they would read them.

Its an opinion like everyone has and only has value if you decide it has. I personally think its dire and is demeaning to porn writers in general.

My 20 year old bought it for her 24 year old sister as it was going for £3 in Sainsbury's. I asked her if she enjoyed it and could I read it after, she said it was too raunchy for me!

Aaah the arrogance and ignorance of youth!

Am I not also correct in thinking that, whilst the woman in the submissive relation hands over control, they do maintain the control over how far things actualy go?

Couldn't have summed it up better than this comment from Leamarie, in Cardiff..

"Shes just gutted because her hubby doesn't hang her from the rafters & have his wicked way with her! And that Mr Grey likes brunettes! Samantha it's a book! A harmless bit of reading for women who want 5 mins out! Cry yourself a river, build a bridge & get over yourself! Nothing attractive about you sweetie - inside or out!"

Brilliant

Yes, in a properly constituted sub/dom relationship, the sub has a responsibility to be clear about their hard limits before anything happens, and the dom has a responsibility to respect and guard those limits.
