I've got a HTC Wildfire on a 2 yr contract with 3. For £35(ish) a month, I get unlimited texts, several hundred minutes call time, unlimited 3 to 3 calls, and unlimited data. About the only problem I've ever had with the phone is the flippin' sales calls from 3..

£35 is a lot of money a month just for a phone though. It wouldnt bother me buying the phone out right but i wouldnt want to be paying that every month

If it is an 'Android' phone - open the 'Play Store' application (it's preloaded on the phone.

If you have an Iphone - open the 'AppStore' application.

Search for stuff you might be interested in....

depending on how much credit you spend out on your phone for texts/calls etc you can get cheaper tarrifs but would have to spend out an initial outlay for the phone. It might be cheaper than spending out £300+ on a phone plus your credit as normal..

having a smart phone it might be wise to get a data allowance unless you would only use it with your homes internet wifi.

The apps range in price from nothing to quite a bit - all depends what you are looking for. Just make sure you have enough bandwidth as part of your airtime package.

Buy any phone you like, Android better, cheaper, and more available free apps than i-phone. I-phones, everything you download costs you money, can't bluetooth unless to other i-phone users either.

Once you have a phone, shop around for the best pay as you go tariff, depending on what you want to use the phone for. Giff-Gaff is the cheapest by far for calls and texts at the moment.

As we are BT Infinity customers, we just use BT hotspots for data connection when out and about, so don't need to worry about ,bolt-on, all you can eat and suchlike packages.

I'd go with an HTC Desire, get a secondhand one for around £90.00 and save yourself a shedload of money. That are still as good if not better than some newer phones costing upwards of £300.00.

I have an iPhone that was free. The package is 400 call time minutes, free texts and unlimited data. It's £35 per month but I don't need my land line any more. Hardly use my computer these days either.

I have a htc wildfire s on a 2 year contract and pay 15 quid a month the phone came free on that contract, and it does pretty much everything you could want in a smartphone, I get 300 minutes unlimited texts and unlimited internet for that, but the choice of phones is so confusing now a days, I do love the htc though will be staying with one when I upgrade

I love my blackberry! £20 a month, stupid amount of 'any network, any time' minutes, stupid number of included texts, 500 meg data (which is more than enough for me) and blackberry services. a well known supermarket's own tariff. Every little helps!
