Nah, could be a typo.

If they use the wrong word though, then it's all too common so it's not worth the effort to point it out

If they're being an obnoxious spazwangle then yeah.

If it's a typo that makes something super funny then I'll point it out coz it's funny.

Other than that not really no, I make typos all the time coz I don't always proof read and my phone thinks it knows what I'm trying to say better than I do

If it's text speak though I might have something to say - I wouldn't correct it, just ask them to try again without bastardising the English language

No I don't unless someone asks me if they've spelled something correctly.

I do get a slight twitch when people use of and have interchangeably but I know what they mean so it's all good.

I'm dyslexic, there are some people I've asked to correct me if I'm wrong. I guess it depends on how it's done. If there was a word I constantly misspelt on here and someone noticed. I wouldn't be upset if they sent a private message, explaining. Someone who just *"correct spelling" I personally find rude

Again sometimes I think it's done from a good place. But I don't understand why people feel the need to correct? If they have to ability to correct, then they fully understood what you meant. Hence why the need to reply with the misspelt word spelt correctly beats me.

Anyone who tries to make themselves feel better by making others feel worse need a kick up arse.

A lot of people out there with dyslexia or who have just had a really poor education for various reasons.

Please my spelling is the one thing that let's me down, it's got a lot worse over the last few years especially relying on computers to do a lot of the leg work for you.

I'm no wordsmith far from it, but interacting now with the younger generation, even in a professional work place is getting terrible. Spellings are the least of their worries. Text speak in emails and letters.

"No one likes the grammar police "

Depends in what context.

A formal document needs to be correct to avoid ambiguity.

Do I care about someone's message as long as its coherent? Not particularly, but I also don't like the reverse snobbery that is aimed at those who are proficient in the use of the written word?

We should all aim to be the best we can in all we do?

Do people seriously have the time or inclination for picking up peoples spelling and grammatical errors because I don't

It's nitpicky and irritating

I’m dyslexic and it takes me an age to type, check and edit. The fast moving threads are a no go . If what I type make no sense then I wouldn’t mind someone asking me to clarify but picking up on SPAG when it has no bearing on whether or not the message can be understood is just a little bit cunty in my opinion.
