Watching QI on bbc2, Sandi started by saying they don't or would never use canned laughter, even during corvid,but by God it doesn't have the same impact and is really boring!

It used to be like that all the time in the 70s.

A team effort I'd say, both Fry and Toksvig are often very funny, but not enough to carry the show by themselves.
