"What’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen? For me it’s the gas giants Saturn and Jupiter (including rings and moons) through my telescope."

I’ve seen many things, but they were the things that made me say wow. My neighbour actually said he had a tear in his eye!!! I’ve viewed most of the planets (struggled withPluto) but those two are just wow. |

"My rescue dogs the day they first play with the others and let everything go. It's always a poignant moment that brings me huge amounts of joy. "
Love this |

Aurora Borealis and The Vasa Warship which is the world's best preserved 17th century ship. It was raised intact from the bottom of the sea after 333 years in darkness. It's in The Vasa Museum in Stockholm and has the wow factor for sure. |

I'm fortunate enough to have uninterrupted views of The Pennines
Watching the sun rising still stuns me to this day
As I am quite high up, it's also great for watching the storm clouds roll in
Their dark and threatening majesty is something to behold |

"a stealth bomber coming out of nowhere and flying less than 1000 feet over the desert.
i originally put 100 feet but it was a 1000.
looked like batman"
I had the opposite of this once. I was in the hills Wales somewhere, and an Harrier Jump Jet flew in the valley below. I was ABOVE the aircraft. Talk about feeling godlike! |

On mount Teide after dark. Looking at all the star constellations. I was also rather d*unk on Champagne too so think it made it all the more exciting- one of the best experiences in my life. |

Seeing the Milky Way stretched across the night sky in rural France.
Seeing Saturn's rings and the bands of Jupiter through a telescope.
Opening a rock core brought up from a drill rig and seeing fossil plants - the first person to ever see them and the only living thing to see them since they died 320 million years ago.

I once saw a bright light appear in the sky looked like it was falling to earth and then it just burnt out no idea what it was but looked pretty awesome, also once saw a thunderstorm at sea whilst in my mates car, must have been pretty close as every time the lightning struck we could feel static in the car |

Aside from the obvious of each of my children...the thing that still gives me goosebumps to this day when I think about it (which it is doing right now) was actually something that most people won't think much of but meant so much to me to have been there to see it...
...it was the moment that seven men walked onto a stage for the first time in six years and 36,000 people stood in awe as those seven men stood in awe back at us...I have not known an atmosphere like it before or since - grown men were in tears, the whole crowd was united in an overwhelming joy that the band were back together and the moment seemed to last forever until one of the men stepped forward and broke the silence with the words "Hey you, don't watch that, watch this..." and so began one of the most amazing two hours of my life that I shall never forget until the day I die |
