What's everyone's opinion on this?
Personally, I don't mind because I wouldn't expect them to reek of fags when meeting (maybe I'm being naive) but interested in hearing your reasoning for why you would/wouldn't meet a smoker. |

I personally won’t but that’s simply down to the effort I put into quitting cigarettes myself 5 years ago. I’m one of those people that’s always at risk of a relapse and I don’t need the temptation.

I'd rather not (even tho I'm an ex smoker).
On a woman it isn't usually an issue, but once I was sucking off a guy & towards the end he started to wank his cock into my mouth & all I could smell was the fags on his fingers. Nasty...  |

Smokers often don't realise how the smell stays with them, it's not just an external they actually smell & taste different. |

I really dislike the smell and taste of smoke, but I will meet smokers.
The reason for this is that, I know plenty that are only occasional smokers or that (if meeting non smokers) wait until after the meet to smoke and so don't smell / taste of it.
But if when on a social they did smell too badly of it, I wouldn't be able to take it further. |

I'm not fussed. Currently on my second week of champix tablets.
I've been a non smoker before but not the type who bangs on about how much it stinks or how bad it tastes.
Personally I have mint gum and clean my hands after. I dont smoke during a meet. If my mind wanders to fancying a fag, then my partner is doing something wrong!! |

If I'm meeting someone I don't expect them to undertake their leisure pastimes with me, unless it's about having great sex. And especially not in my home, where strict rules are enforced.
I quite like seeing some men smoke but it's always been when they have been smoking innocently in the street, not trying to get inside my knickers.
I don't know that I can tell if someone smokes, if they meet freshly showered and with clean teeth. |

I smoke and I'm very conscious of it so I am constantly spraying myself with perfume and have fresh mints. It is a vile smell.
If I'm with someone who doesn't like it then I won't smoke around them but I do expect to be kept occupied  |

I'm a smoker, and I have no issues with anyone who doesn't want to meet because I smoke. Their choice, no big deal.
What I DO have a problem with though is guys who say they don't mind smokers, insist they want to meet anyway, (I always tell upfront before meeting, as well as on my profile--twice) and then wave the air in front of them with a grimace of disgust when I light up (outdoors, of course).
NO, not going to quit because you don't want to meet a smoker. I told you and you agreed, so just go away already. |

I do smoke. I, like many others wish I'd never started.
I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with those who choose not to meet smokers, I completely understand it and commend them for sticking to their rules and preferences.
What does get right on my nipples is those who "won't meet smokers" but message me anyway. Straight away I just think "ya fucking liar" or wonder how desperate they must be for a meet that they'll lower their standards, and that makes me feel pretty shit.

This, I quit for good earlier this year and I don't need the temptation. Also, since quitting I've found I really can't stand the smell when I walk by someone who's smoking. |

I’m a smoker so I always check before speaking and if planning anything I’ll say before meeting and check so they have the option to say no if they prefer
I wouldn’t take it for granted they’re ok with it although I’ve never had anyone seem too fussed |

I vape, occasional smoker. Depends on my mood. If the opportunity ever actually arises of a meet, I wouldn't smoke at all beforehand. My vape of choice is mint, sometimes a fruity mint if I'm feeling really cheeky, I'll have some fruity mint flavour.
I don't mind if someone I'm with lights up, as I'll just join them. So for me, no issues either way |

Well. I strongly prefer no smoking arrangements but I could bend my guidelines for the right person. It’s just smoking (regardless what all the French movies I love so much are telling us) is not sexy... and definitely not tasty. |

I've recently switched to vaping (although apparently I vape a lot  ), and it definitely smells better than smoking. I've never had any issues with anyone regarding smoking in the past, even those that say they won't meet smokers...but I'm always considerate and won't smoke around someone that doesn't like it. |

Yes fully understand people not wanting to meet smokers, but how would you know if you met them at a club, as I don’t suppose a none smoker would be sitting in a smoking area, also see loads of profiles saying won’t meet smokers, but the tour read their Veris and bet some amongst them there are smokers they have met |

I won’t meet smokers.
I hate the smell, and even with some people who have claimed they haven’t smoked that day etc, I can smell it on their clothes.
I used to work in Care and some of the homes used to reek of cigarettes and be thick with smoke, used to make me gag. So I can’t stand it, each to their own though. |

I don’t like to date smokers really... but when I have, they generally don’t stink or taste too strongly of it...
When I was 23-24, I got chatting to girl in her 30’s... and she was a good laugh... but at the end of the night, we kissed, and it was literally like licking an ash tray...
I’ve never kissed anyone as bad as that since, and generally smokers don’t seem to be that bad... unless they smoke like 50 a day
My main thing is... I just don’t get smoking... never have and never will understand why you’d pay for something that doesn’t really benefit you, and just helps to make a load of old farts super rich |

I would never meet a smoker ever - its the most vile thing I can think of. Whether they smoked an hour or a week before, that fags taste is there regardless and no amount of chewing gum, mints, toothpaste or mouthwash gets rid of it. People who smoke though are oblivious to this. Its the most unattractive thing anyone can do. |

I prefer not too and will avoid it if possible.
I have met a smoker and I couldn’t taste it at all when kissing him yet I have also met another smoker and I could taste it while kissing and it was vile. It literally made my stomach churn. |

I smoke but I've also had periods of not smoking
When I don't smoke I find even the slightest whiff of a cigarette vile
And when I do smoke I don't really smell it so then I don't really know if I smell of smoke or not
If someone doesn't want to meet smokers that's their choice |

In the very unlikely situation of if there were two perfectly identical people in ever single way with the exception of one smoked and the other did, then I'd certainly be drawn to the none smoker. But I'd not let them being a smoker put me off if lots of other boxes were ticked.
Though, I guess it's also down to how much/many/often they smoke. A few people I know, that if I didn't know they smoked previously I'd never be able to tell otherwise. |

I wouldn't choose to meet smokers through Fab, as the smell is a turn off.
In a club, if they're an infrequent smoker and haven't smoked that day, I might not realise.
So, I suppose the answer is "it depends". |
