What are the point of dirty potatoes? Send me clean ones please. I'll pay the extra 15 pence!

Grrrr .

Organic ones are always filthy, if I’m paying double the price I don’t want to clean the fuckers myself.

Whenever I dig them up they never come out of the ground clean, I keep trying different varieties but it’s always the same result

It's not the dirt you can see that should concern you ... it's the pesticides.

That why you pay more for the organic stuff.

Better not tell everyone that sometimes when I can't be arsed to cook (and that is very rare), I drain the liquid off and eat the New Potatoes raw!

Ah shit - I just did.....!

It is, always have a couple of tins in as backup or I’ll add them to a curry near the end

If I could get potato’s that still have dirt on them, I’d choose to buy them every time, I think they taste better and then seem to last longer

If your tatties were already clean I think, out of habit and just to be sure, you'd still clean them yourself anyway

They roast well, good with sundried tomatoes or butternut squash, if you want something quick.

They actually roast well apparently, think one of the TV chefs was bigging them up last year.

Central

Some farms have clean ones but then wet them, adding dirt for implied authenticity as 'freshly dug'
