The only things that should be left to ripen are cheeses and fruits.

Women shouldn't use strongly scented soap as it can give them thrush.

"I honestly think I've just been sick in my mouth! "

Granted, the phrasing of the op could have been a bit more tactful. But that's a bit of an over reaction. You surely don't wash yourself immediately before sex if it's with someone you know well

If the OP meant leaving it for more than a few days or more then that is gross and my reaction is completely justified.

He didn't specify that. Fannies don't smell all peachy and rose petals...they're not supposed to

I think the way the OP is phrased makes it sound seedy and a bit pervy

For one off meets, then yeah nice smells and freshness is imperitive, but there is also something to be said for enjoying the personal smell of someone you are with mind, body & soul

There is something warm and comforting about the closeness and intimacy you derive from being with them - and you will perhaps only share this with a handful of people over you life

I don't wash with fragranced wash in general, but I don't leave things unwashed for anyone.

After an ex used to shame me for not showering multiple times a day, it takes me a while to not feel anxious if I haven't showered within an hour or two beforehand and I will still often have a quick wash from the sink in the bathroom.
