The first time I heard the thin lizzie version, a friend played it on vinyl and it sounded awesome! And since then the tallica has been second best. X" hmmm can u digitally re master vynall lol(totally blonde question,) stickn wi the tally boys...lmao xx |

Metallica tried to knock thin lizzie for the royalties to whiskey in the jar claiming it was an old Irish folk song. They didn't realise that Phil had changed the lyrics for the thin lizzy version and they had to pay up |

Metallica tried to knock thin lizzie for the royalties to whiskey in the jar claiming it was an old Irish folk song. Yea you can actually, I've seen a deck that has a usb cable attached so you can connect it to your computer and record the tune. X |

I saved all my vinyl albums this way, took bleedin' ages but I love listening to them on the iPod because all the scratches are just as I remember them... |

Has to be Lizzie version for me as it was the first time I picked up on Gary Moore's guitar work (RIP)
Well I have copied some of my old vynils onto my lappie by just using an audio cable from the 'Tape' output on my amplifier to the mic input on my lappie. |
