Mines a dick, can’t possibly afford to give anyone a pay rise this year he says, three days later pulls up in a brand new R8.
Mr on the other hand has the best employers ever, they have become good friends. They have looked after the children for us, they have the dog when we go on holiday, always a birthday present and a Christmas hamper. They genuinely care about their employees and it makes a huge difference to morale. |

Being appreciated is simply the best isn't it. |

At the moment? Absolutely amazing, couldn't wish for better.
In the past? A few ok people with a lot of absolute trashbag arseholes thrown in.
I feel very lucky at the moment. |

My boss let's me do my jolly own thing. But then my role is an oddly independent one for my sector. He trusts me and knows I'm capable of self management. So yeah, he's pretty cool. |

"I was lucky to have the almost amazing boss once , she was tough, direct, honest, consistent , supportive when you needed, taught she so much about commanding loyalty and getting stuff done, I try to be just like her to my teams. "
Teams, now that's a good word. Thats what my bosses say we are at work. He genuinely hates it when I call him the boss. |

Choosing your boss is more important than choosing a company to work for, a bad one early in your career can be disastrous |

My old boss has just gone off on maternity leave. Her replacement has already been demoted previously but hey, no one else around to cover. His name begins with A, and the first thing he did was set up a group email...called “the A team”. He says FYI after every thing he tells us, and literally highlights any mistakes in red in group comms. Only 11 months and 3 weeks to go..

He sounds joyful and no idea of management. Good luck! |

"I've been lucky in my career I've had 2 brilliant bosses but one absolute arse, who nearly made me quit my career. Luckily hr sorted him out and moved me. "
The same but unlike you the bad one nearly ended my life (yes it was that close).
My current one is brilliant |

"What would you rather, work a job you dont like? Or work for a knobhead boss?
I quit my job because of the boss and other colleagues earlier in the year. I enjoyed the work just not the people."
Oh thats shitty, is there any other companies you could work for? |

I've never seen the hierarchy of the company I work for as they are based abroad and haven't visited in the time I've been there
The 'big boss' in the UK seems OK, but is kinda awkward with people who he doesn't know really well
My immediate boss is lovely |

Oh I didn't quit until I found another job, and my bosses now are absolutely brilliant. |

That is so horrendous that you had to endure that. No one should be allowed to make anyone feel that way. So pleased to hear you've moved on to somewhere better. |

My current bosses are really good in some aspects, but not so great in others.
I've had some horrendous bosses in the past...the worst being a mysoginistic little prick that spent 3 years trying to get me sacked because he didn't think women should be working in that sector |
