I think its an insult to my intelligence when I know that people are lying to me
But it depends on what they are lying about as to whether I worry about it or not
Some people just can't help themselves and do it all the time whether its little white lies or great big whoppers,I just feel sorry for them as they only make themselves look silly really  |

Have to say this is an amusing thread as 90% of us hide faces and even more lie about there names on profiles. Have to say I would include my self with the multitude on this. It is a bit disappointing though if someone sends you a BS pm and expects you to swallow the contents though.  |

I agree!
I have known someone for 24 year since I was was 15 and he used to be to honest for his own good but since his other 1/2 left him for another guy and said some awful things its really rattled his self esteem and now he's a compulsive ligger.
He knows he does it and says they just come out and he thinks how bad they sound after but can't help himself..
So yes, I think insecurity or lack of self esteem can be a big factor.

I have known someone for over 40 yrs and she could lie for england , but whats soooo sad is, its obvious its a lie.
