Just been watching the Assen TT MotoGP round. Normally try and bike over there but on bloody nights and saving holidays
And once again Cal had to put in the ride of a lifetime and produced big time. Last week at Silverstone, where he broke an ankle, he started from the back of the grid and ended 6th. He started on the 2nd row today but was nearly taken out by a backmarker on the first corner who did take out Lorenzo. Cal was punted back to last again and rode through to end up 5th. And all with a busted ankle.
The man is just an amzing athlete as well as bike rider. Makes the old heart thump a bit harder knowing he is British and up there with the best.
Sorry if you aren't into bikes but just wanted to flag up how some people can just overcome pain and setbacks and still produce results. |

if it wasn't an olympic year... he would be very high on my "Sports Personality" list...... he has been epic over the last few weeks and hope he gets a full factory ride next year...... |
