I've never heard of Jack Reacher, but many films don't live up to the novels that they're based on. That's because our fantasies are personal, and one persons _iew will be different from anothers.
Also, we all know that Tom Cruise is a shortarse, and I assume Jack Reacher is a big, hard, tough, "blokey" bloke.
Tommo might be a good actor, but you can't fool all the people all the time.
It's another case of the little guy living out his fantasies as a big guy perhaps? |

the closest guy i can think of in build and looks maybe to play Reacher would be that Mark 'The Beast' Labatt of the quiz show The Chase.
that sort of size is how i picture him reading the books.
