As I’m bored to death being stuck in the house self isolating I’ve taken to doing those little jobs you never get round to doing. Today’s was sorting out my clothes, what I found was that I have 22 pairs of shoes/trainers (not including work and gardening safety shoes or walking/hiking boots).
Is this too many for a chap to own?
Don’t ask how many coats/jackets I have |

"I have similar issues OP. Way too many shoes and jackets. It's a condition "
I also have a thing for jeans and tee shirts. That said I haven’t bought anything since February as I can’t go out. But the urge is there |

I seem to have a similar Amount of shoes and jackets to the good ladies of Fab.
I may have to go and lift some heavy things and put them down again to reassert my masculinity |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
"I’m not too bad with shoes or jackets but basques... just sent about thirty to the charity shop, someone’s going to have fun "
Damn being way bigger than you.... I'd come stalk your charity shop... |

2 pairs of trainers (one for work, one for running)
3 pairs of bedroom shoes
About 7 pairs of other shoes including sandals etc and shoes I've bought for work but haven't broken in so have just sat there for years |

"I don't like to discuss how many pairs of shoes I have. I find that once you get into triple figures you should give up."
I only know as I bought a couple of pairs of heels last week, had no where to put them so sorted the whole lot out. |

Nowadays I think it is acceptable for men to have more shoes then women....
Gone are the days that I had just one pair of trainers and one smart black shoes.
I have blacks, browns, smart, casual, cycling and general walking/gardening..... At least 9 pairs i think |

"I have too many pairs
I can't wear a lot of them any more either, due to the disability I acquired but I can't bear to get rid. It's kinda final "
I can sort of empathise. Due to my dad's acquired disability he can't use certain tools but getting rid of them would confirm his eyesight will never fully be restored. Same for my mum since she's needed a wheelchair or mobility scooter, she's got clothes and boots she'll never be able wear but keeps them anyway. |

I haven't counted my shoes and boots but I have quite a few. I've got so many clothes that I have to store some in the loft and keep a coat in each car to make room on the wardrobes for the others.
I think it stems from being the oldest but smallest child in the family and always having hand me ups lol |

Can only wear heels if I stay sat down in the chair, cannot walk at all in them. The heels can catch in the footplate too. I can't wear long boots comfortably now due to allodynia on my left shin and ankle. Some shoes are over tight on the left due to constant swelling too.
I still can't bring myself to get rid of my heels, slip ons, boots etc |

Then don't. They're not eating anything as my dad would say.
I can't bring myself to get rid of my wedding outfit and some stuff that was tailor made for me when I was 21. None of it will ever fit me again |
