Sick to the back teeth of hearing about it, my moms got it, people at work have got it, friends have got it and from bits ive read its unbelievably tame. Seriously tempted to just burn every single copy of it i can get my hands on lol! Grrrrr  |

They are crap. Poorly written & reads like someone googled BDSM & D/s & wrote about it. The movie my be good if Alexander Skarsgard plays Christian Grey though  |

If only the real world new what we got up to. Nothing really shocks me any more if I am at a club and people are having sex I am just oblivious to it all. Does that make me harden. |

I can't believe how many people are talking about this book! I've heard mix responses from people really liking it and some saying it's unrealistic.
I've just started to read it because everyone I know has been talking about it. It's ok - basically porn on BDSM but it's not bad. (I have read a lot better)
However it does make me smile from the comments I have heard between friends as they have no idea about BDSM, swinging etc. One girl reading the book asked what 'canning' was... we all looked puzzled and said no, it's 'caning' lol |

I started reading it last night, the way its written makes me think this person has never written a book before as the writing styles is dire. Going to have to force myself to read more but so far, it really isn't looking good  |

Totally agree with you, My mrs has read all 3 and I'm in the middle of the first one, dont get me wrong, our sex life has been given a major kick start again, it's like we're two teeneages lol but yes, the writing style is dire, dare I quote "Holy Crap"  |

I have just finished all 3 books, simply because my sister bought them for her kindle so i nicked them too to see what all the fuss was about.
Agree they are badly written but im a sucker for a good love story so i did enjoy them.
They are tame! I also found there was TOO much sex in it, i found myself skipping the sex parts because they where tame and all where so 'samey' if that is even a word lol
But it does make me smile hearing everyone go on about it and how filthy it is....O Please if you only knew lol
I have told my sister and a few friends to try story of O will be interesting to see there opinions on that one lol

I read somewhere that it started as fan fiction from the twilight fanbase.
It seems to be pushing a lot of vanilla buttons, would be good to see what people think of some proper BDSM porn, like the story of o. I will test it out! |

I read the first one on holiday. Badly written and I was sick of hearing about her mumuring, his white shirts and his bodywash. But it is relatively good beach fodder.
Has left me wanting to read more hardcore stuff... Any recommendations anyone. Looking for sexual rather than BDSM novels |

so with you on that one he would make a perfect grey. I read book one desperatly looking for some serious enjoyable kinky fuckery but was sadly dissappointed. The second book is even less so at the moment i am fed up of boring sex scenes that are all the same i sugges the author gets herself off to dungeon and learns what a "scene" is really like Even as begginer i was more hardcore than the stuff in the books pish |

Story of O was a great book i bought a copy for Sir and he made me read it so much better than this mills and boon meets kinkvile crap |

The first book sparked my imagination.. the second and third were a huge disappointment. A little kinky fuckery followed by a vanilla love story.
Shame really, it could have been so much more..
