So I’m staying In an Airbnb
I’ve had sex on the pine bed and it’s a good job it’s nearly November as it now looks like bonfire wood.
I’ve already text the owner and offered to pay for a replacement.
Just wondering out of sheer curiosity what side of the fence you sit on re:who should pay for the new bed?

Imho not you.
You pay for use of the bed and sex is one of the staple uses of a bed so I’d put it down to wear and tear but a nice person would offer to pay as you have.

Unless you were specifically trying to wreck the bed by doing the Inverted Extreme Piledriver Cervix Destroyer then I think it's probably down to the owner to replace it  |

It’s not up to purpose the owner should. They will probably just fix it.
At least when we were at Nelson Mandela house the beds were sturdy if a little squeaky

AirBnB tend to have much stronger beds than apartments on booking.com. Generally unless it’s a metal frame, mahogany or oak it’s going to eventually break with regular pounding , most pine is quite weak. They should pay , they should have insurance. I’m just costing my first HMO and solid wood or metal beds is a must so you only buy once and they last for life |

It's probably been broken five times and propped back together, if my experience of landlords is anything to go by.
Definitely the owner's responsibility, fucking is fair wear and tear. |

I'm thinking your sex sounds good.
As for the bed well if you were jumping off the wardrobe onto it and broke it then you should pay. But broken just because you had sex, it doesn't sound like it was that sturdy to begin with. |

The thing my parents do 'air b&b' on their farm studios and margins are very low. Air b&b as a company are terrible and even if someone damages things it takes months and months to get a insured payout... thats if you can at all.
What you have to remember is these are peoples own homes and small business's. Out of respect id replace it. |

I think that’s the thing if I broke it I’m a chunk so I would put it down to that and offer to pay (and have done when I got trapped in a bed - long story - wasn’t for a sex meet and my brother had to rescue me while I was giggling like crazy- stupid child’s single bed in a apartment)
But the OP is pint sized and I would be thinking the bed was already weak |
