And I’m asking like when things get back to normal properly and you can meet is it something that puts you off? Personally not for me it makes meeting up (for whatever) easier |

had a couple look at my profile who were 'less than a mile', figured they were in the pub around the corner which is very quiet and my local so thought it best to block them. |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
"It puts me off. Small town.
There have been exceptions though.
Exceptions being when they’re too gorgeous to let by right? I don’t blame you "
Actually it wasn't. It started when he lived in the next town. And continued for a bit after he moved here. |

Years ago, when I was single
I used to meet someone 10 mins away, could walk to him.
We realised 1st social that we had met before, going to the same bars /pubs when younger
Never caused any problems meeting. |

Yup. Been a few on here I've been tempted to contact but they're in the next village, where I used to live.
I'd prefer a few miles, or at least not somewhere I live or have lived.
Not really sure why I give a fuck though |

I prefer local because if I have to drive too long I won’t feel horny no more if the distance is too long, I won’t even want to have sex no more and I will give a lacklustre performance |

"I might be put off if they lived in my building, but anywhere else wouldn't be a problem
I'll cancel buying the new place then...."
Haha you can just shack up with me for a month or 2 sure while you house hunt |

We’re lucky enough to have a crash pad about 30 miles from where I live and work so base searches and meets around there. I have chatted to people more local but would need to establish we definitely don’t know them before sharing face pics or meeting.

"Yup. My postcode isn’t where I live. I don’t want to meet people where I live due to the job I do. This is for their confidentiality as well as mine. "
Same. |

" Not if I lived in a city, but there's likeabout 4 people in a square mile around here "
Haha this is a good point. I live in a city and my area is mostly flats. My full postcode alone easily has over a hundred residents. |

"People use it as an excuse, then they can moan about all the best people being miles away."
I use it as an excuse. Men seem less offended if I say sorry too far away, rather than saying I don't want to fuck them. |

"I block those within 1 mile just for my own privacy, but apart from that, no, I like locals "
Can you set it up to do that?? Or do you just do it if they message you? |

Yeah! Nothing worse than an awkward encounter in the bread aisle in Tesco afterwards.
A healthy distance is a good thing in my eyes. |

All depends on your situation, single - cant see why not, surely a bonus... with someone - might be awkward bumping into them with the other half... especially if the other half doesn't know! |

Yes, I have spoken to 2 guys and 2 couple who live in a small village. The older of the guys we would meet but for we are discrete and don't want to be bumping in to meets at the shops x |

"Local is ideal but pref at least 2 miles away. Any closer than that is a no for me "
Interesting - in Fab terms, we’d class up to about 15 miles as local...two miles is practically neighbours! |

I prefer localish people although I am very selective. I chat to people on here that actually stay in my area or who drink in the same pub. So I don’t meet them .. otherwise it doesn’t bother me . |

"Generally yes, however I have met a guy who also lives in my very small close knit village whose mum talks to me often.
Perhaps I shouldn’t have gone on my doorstep "
Ha ha

No, that’s exactly what I’m looking for in a fwb. The wife has a regular guy she sees who’s reasonably local too. Makes things easier all round. |

Just had a female viewer who showed as "within touching distance ",never had that before ,I have a few friends within a few miles of me ,its fantastic and super convenient if I get a sudden urge ,used to travel 50 miles or more for meets ,now keep within 30 mile radius ,luvly jubbly |

I got talking to a local couple before we exchanged some naughty chat some body pics.
Then came the face pics..... turned out to be my neighbours who lived opposite haha
Unfortunately the fab chat died out and when I bumped into them in the street our light neighbour convos turned into awkward hellos hahah

I would never meet in my home town... I’d rather keep my kink life separate from my everyday life plus I’ve got kids they don’t need to know mum & dad are perverts lol |

Ooooh, I've never seen that, I wonder how close that really is.
With kids we have previously avoided anything local. Kids now older and with covid restrictions, I wish our special friends lived closer |

I guess depends on the person/people. They have to be trustworthy, like minded swingers and in the lifestyle for quite sometime. So yes, it would put me off if they don’t have those qualities and they live in the same town. I wouldn’t prefer to meet |

I prefer them to be from out of town. I don’t do local often.
Only done it once or twice, great for spontaneity but i live in a small place where everyone knows each other and I don’t like the idea of running into them in my normal day to day life |

On a different site, I saw the guy who lived in the flat above me. Told him that if he was ever in need of company, all he had to do was knock on my door. Unfortunately, I had to move soon after that. |

Well I've had it say "within a mile" before a few times ,but that was the first time saying "touching distance" .I actually got up and looked out the front window with butterflies in my stomach,
Yes,now kids arent an issue, I'd reccomend making local friendships, |
