"Why do children on films/TV rarely say thank you? Have manners become so unused that script writers forget them too?
Mr"
I think it's become the way of life I'm afraid. All morals and traditions have changed from when I was younger. Kids don't play curby, or go out without their phones... I mean 8 year olds have mobiles nowadays.. when I was 8, I barely had a Game boy.
Is a shame that the good parts of previous generations can get lost and forgotten about |

But that's not the fault of the kids, surely. Isn't that the fault of the parent who don't engage with their children enough and stick an iPad infront of them at the age of 2 to keep them quiet for a bit.
Children are still developing and they can't use what is never taught. |

Not in this house !
I’ve tried hard to teach the kids about manners and being kind
I repeat to them what my mum did to me
Do onto others as you want them to do to you!
Yes the kids have tablets but only allowed them certain times
And Sunday’s are no tech day too
And I couldn’t care less mine ain’t get no mobile till at least 15/16
What do children actually need phones for ?!?! They are children !!!
Sorry rant over |

Yeah. He snatched it from me hence me prompting him for a thank you. Obviously not something he was used to |

I agree with you there . It's the older generation I find have no manners, and they have the bareface cheek to moan about youngsters! If your a rude child, your be a rude adult and a rude pensioner. |

"i don't watch much telly with children in it. In actual life I notice that younger people are very polite indeed. In fact I notice a very distinct lack of manners in older people"
Agree with this. Very much so. |

I think kids generally are much ruder now and parents don't seem to have the time for them and just give them shit to shut them up (generally, not specifically). It's really noticeable with my 11 year olds friends who's parents work long hours and leave the TV and phone to babysit.... ....when they come to ours for tea and have finished eating with their hands or just a fork, I'm like "can you take the dishes to the sink please" and they're like "what, how do I carry them?" and usually the cutlery ends up all over the floor... |

I don't think it's specifically children, just it grates when a scene shows them being given something and they just turn away without any sign of acknowledgement.
Can't comment on pepper pig, I've never been forced to watch it |
