"The Boys is awesome and incredibly graphic  I haven't seen the Watchmen series but I loved the film, especially the extended cut."
I read The Boys as it came out and really enjoyed it. One of my guilty pleasures and I love Ennis' take on The Punisher. Watchman is something something I am not so wedded to. I only read the issues when they were initially released as a graphic novel probably 30 years ago and quite liked the movie. I've heard that the HBO series was meant to be good and as Amazon had it for about 13/14 quid instead of 25, I thought; why not?  |

The boys is fantastic, I suggest watching the series before reading the comic if you are that way inclined, watchmen series is great to but I prefer the former |

Ah, I've already read all The Boys and the minis. I got them as they came out. There is a new mini at the moment called, IIRC, "Dear Becky". Those are piling up and I will read in one hit. |

Ah, I've already read all The Boys and the minis. I got them as they came out. There is a new mini at the moment called, IIRC, "Dear Becky". Those are piling up and I will read in one hit."
Same here but I think I would've enjoyed the series a lot more (if possible) if I had seen the show first. I made that mistake with walking dead and runaways |

I've not read the WD.and only seen seasons 1-3 when it was on C5. I quite like Kirkman's Outcast but that got cancelled after two seasons and the comic is coming to an end, which is a shame for me as I like that but it might have something to do with the art... |

The boys is fantastic. I read a good portion of the comics before watching the series. Was not disappointed by the TV series take on it!

The Watchmen movie was great until they skewered the original ending and then for me it lost all credibility.
The Watchmen series kept the premise of the ending from the comics luckily, but not only that, was a fantastic series and very apt for 2020, especially considering Trump’s Tulsa meltdown. |

I think that’s probably why I can enjoy it. I wasn’t aware of the world of watchmen before seeing the film so just saw it without knowing anything about psycho squids or anything and just went with it. |

Soooo, I have now watched, "The Boys" season 1 and I really enjoyed it. Particularly liked Anthony Starr as Homelander. Not 100% sure of Karl Urban's London accent but on the whole a really good series that got better as it went along... Plus a good spin on what they did in the comics...

Not read or seen The Umbrella Academy. IIRC when it was originally published it got really good reviews and the prog meant to be quite good as well....

The Boys is truly a well scripted series. Just finished ep 7...love it! Especially the porn dialogue Anyone else upto date?
Watchmen is certainly on my list. Enjoyed the movie by Zach Snyder so if its anything similar to that, I'm in for a treat
Must admit there are quite a lot of great serues out there recently. Umbrella Academy I was hooked and had to binge watch both series. Can't wait for S3! |

To add OP , you may feel a few episodes in that’s it’s all what the fuck! But do stick with it , the payoff as it goes on is fantastic in my opinion.
