Because I seem to receive messages that I am too nice and I need to rough myself up a little bit and when I messaged them back and ask what do they mean. They tell me that I need to be a bad guy to get anywhere  |

It's like I've noticed on here when people actually reply on the forum when I click on their profile straight away it says I cannot view their profile and it's not due to any age criteria  |

I don't buy that. But then I don't think everyone is totally nice or bad. And I think being over-nice can come across as a bit fake and off putting.
I wouldn't say I was 'nice' and my rock n' roll mad and bad days are well and truly behind me. I would like to think I was a 'decent bloke' and I'm not going to muck anyone around. Aim for being decent. |

There is a difference between being nice and being 'too nice' where it feels a bit like smothering. Especially if you haven't met someone before I find it can be a tricky balance.  |

Tend to agree to a point op, if you are considerate and selfless without a rough edge to you then you do tend to be at the back of the pack. Of course there are exceptions as always and i think when it comes to finding a sexual partner(s) then it is even more so. For long term i believe it is somewhat different however. |

Been through this mindset myself at times. But eventually you just accept and realise you are who you are and if others don't like it then you move on. Everyone has their own tastes but there's someone out there for everyone. Better to be true and yourself than false because it's what you think someone else wants. |

Sometimes being nice gets confused with shyness, less outgoing, less assertiveness etc. It’s a jungle in fabland where guys vastly outnumber women, who are inundated with messages and so it can be difficult to get noticed |
