Just move in together over the Christmas period.
They're is no legal registry of where you live, nothing limiting people moving house and nothing limiting the about that can live in a single house.
Once Christmas is over (even if it's just been one night), move out again.
Simple!

Am I the only one who's actually quite happy I don't have to host Christmas this year haha... First time in forever I won't have a house full and it's just gonna be me and my kids to keep happy |

I couldn't stand Xmas alone . The rest of the year I couldn't care less if I'm on my own . But nobody should be alone at Xmas  |

It is shite being alone at xmas.. when i ran pubs it was crap.. lunchtime drinks were a laugh, offers to join folks never materialised then it just me in the pub, with a pint and a packet of turkey n stuffing crisps |
