Had lessons at 17 and hated it. Non-driver here.

I was late 20s when I finally gave in. Best thing i did. I ended up doing auto only lessons and licence.

Really want my son to learn now but unfortunately there are such long waiting lists for instructors

Late driver as well, have my test in October. On my 8th lesson currently. My advice watch YouTube videos when not driving, especially mock tests where the driver fails. I watch one a day, it’ll show you where people go wrong and what to avoid.

Hope I get through my test as I’ve got my eye on a car

Good luck - 42 and only thing Ive driven was a quad bike.

It showed me I can only comprehend 2 speeds - not moving and top speed

Need to pull my finger out and get it done

Over here everybody drives, when you turn 16 you get a learners permit ,17 you get your license
