"I’m so tempted to put it on! "
How posh are you!!!
We have to cut it
Collect it
Cut it up
Clean out the fire
Build a fire
And then light it
But I wouldn’t have it any other way
Plus it’s still warm here.

I live in a cold, draughty old house so when I do put the heating on I never turn it higher than 18c. If I feel chilly I put a jumper on, and if I feel really cold I light the fire and chuck a few logs on it. |

Mine might be on this month, as my south west facing garden is denied any direct light from 9-3, as 40 ft forest tree belt is to blame, as for the front, the stupid upstairs walk way makes sure I never get any of the warming afternoon sun.
This lowers the temperature indoors by 10 degrees, than the flats upstairs. |

A good winter duvet helps out at night its when it gets cold during the day my central heating goes on hopefully not till November until April thats when the gas/elec companys get their money the other 6 months the bills come down.. Climate change is not altering that and probabily never will during my life time.. |

i sometimes have mine on in july but off in december... why do people let a date dictate their heating schedule rather than the temperature |

I will have to go up into the loft to put my heating on! My thermostat is knackered and only two years old. Wont connect to the boiler anymore
Blankets and hot water bottles here. |

I did a workout last night, put the heating on for a shower, lay down on my bed for 5, and woke at 2ish and the heating had ran out. 2 cold showers later and I feel like Mr Frosty |

Back in January the boiler stopped working. Had it all set-up to get it replaced when the electricity went off. Had to have a generator for a week and the boiler didn't get replaced until a week after that. Then covid.
Heatings already been on here a few weeks ago and will be coming back on soon no doubt since the weather, finally, has shifted to autumn.

I was freezing in bed last night
Mine is on.
Being cold at home reminds me of the freezing icy house I grew up in with no heating or double glazing - just no. |

"What is wrong with all you weirdos that won't put the heating on when it's cold
My ex was like this - I love living alone "
Heating thermostat is set to 16 on a night and 20 during the day it is yet to turn on.
All the hot weather has made normal temperatures feel cold. |

It’s not that cold here... but I’m sure you could keep me warm better than turning the heat on here
