I have cataracts and Covid has delayed my op to get them fixed. No big deal as they will get done eventually. However my sight has faded quite a lot. Everything is misty. One of the things I miss most is eye contact. Those casual flirtatious glances across a crowded room. I guess lockdown gave everyone an experience of this. Hands up if you think flirting is one of life's key pleasures. |

I've worn glasses for a weak left eye since junior school.when I joined the army I didn't bother but I started wearing them again when I left. I think glasses have made me lazy and sight has got progressively worse.

I had my cataract operation when I lived in Oz aged only 42, that was due to me being a welder plus apparently having blue eyes promotes this also. You forget just how clear your vision was until the post op eye patch comes off. |
