As a cabinet maker, I have lots of experience of sanding. You're right, it's gonna take ages

Download some podcasts, and crack on

Not spindles on stair case, no. But sanded walls down and prepped then painted, that was a bad head in all honesty

Yes, have approx 100 also.

And its cut string, with 5 swan necks and scroll handrail at the bottom. All lacquered.

I enjoy it though so I guess this review is pointless.

Dubai & Nottingham

It will take ages but it’s either therapeutic or will crack you, I took moulds of a while house - of balustrading, columns, caps, facia, pilasters all that intricate stuff spayed and sanded to 1200 , man it was like hell on earth for 3 months

Haha.... you’ll need to go back over them and get right into the detail or it will look like a manky rice pudding when you paint it. Use heat and wire wool on a drill

Worthing

I recommend Satin Wood for paint rather than gloss. It dries quicker and lasts longer. Also does not show up wood imperfections as much as gloss. I would add use 'trade' paint for the wood. It's expensive but gives a better coverage.

Buy a second hand lathe.

Take them out and sand them as you spin each one in turn.

Just remove every other spindle that way you will only have 64 to sand and paint

You'll be done in half the time
