They probably get sexually aroused by body smell. I love the smell of sex - that sweaty, heady, musky scent. But I'm not into used knickers.
And it might be a 'miss you' thing - girlfriend leaves with boyfriend a pair of her knickers so he can get her scent when not together. People do it with other 'dirty' clothes.

I have found items like knickers, socks, shoes, tights, tissues, sex toys, lollipops that have been inserted into vagina or anus, custom photos and videos for sale on reddit and not just sex/kink related websites, so they are a lot more mainstream than some people realise.
