If you explain what the issues is, there could be many that might offer solutions.

If you want to message me, I am an IT guy and more than happy to suggest solutions.

Sticking it in a microwave will realign the electrons on the physical disk and may restore any lost data.

*For the love of God don't actually do this!

And you might blow-up your microwave at the same time

Gapping Fanny

Assuming they are not encrypted then you can get caddies that you slot HDDs in that you can then connect to a computer via USB.

Cant say I have done this with a Chromebook though.

Are the drives from a desktop PC or a laptop?

You can get external drive bays or connectors with either IDE long thin connector, or small black one SATA that will connect via a USB port and appear as a new drive. It'll take a long time but worth it. Tasmin. You might also need a power supply.

As I understand it, it might be difficult on a chromebook. You'll either need a drive caddy put these hard drives in then attach it to the chromebook and then transfer the file or put the hdd's back in the original device then upload the files to one of the cloud storage places.
