I don’t think of anything as forever so I won’t be scared of any thoughts. I’ve been on my own 10 years now and they’ve been the most constructive years of my life. I have no fear of that continuing but I miss the companionship of someone who Cares. |

You just gotta know where to look and be with someone who makes you happy and treat ya well, because at the end of day we all are human and need someone to be there for us. That’s why kindness is crucial as you don’t really know what someone is going through behind close door!!! |

Not been in any form of relationship for at least 10 years. So wouldn't want a conventional one now (and not poly or anything like that) but something would be nice. |

I was more lonely when i was in a relationship than i am now. I love being myself but have a busy job and 2 dogs for company. My mum was left a widow at my age and i have always admired the way she coped by herself. Life for me is pretty damn good.x |

When I got divorced I never thought I'd still be on my own 11 years later.
I've accepted that my dream of happy ever after with someone is probably very unlikely. While at times that makes me sad and loneliness can be crippling, I also know I'm lucky. I have my boys and 8 years time my youngest will be 20. I'm going to do all the things others do when they are young. Travel, have adventures and who knows who I may meet along the way.
Maybe at that point I'll learn to love myself and that will be my happy ever after. |

Forever isn't realistic - life is unpredictable.
I doubt I'll be in a conventional relationship again- but I'll never say never.
I'm at peace with my own company.

I would love nothing more than to be in a relationship but unfortunately having 2 kids with additional needs will put most people off it makes me sad to think I will most probably be alone for many years to come |

I enjoy my own company too much to give it up.
I’d be happy with someone to go on holiday with and the odd night out and the occasional sex stuff but don’t want to live with anyone. |

There’s some people in toxic relationships that wish they were on their own. Then there are kind and loving people who should be able to share their love with others who deserve it.
I’ve made the best of my situation, hopefully others can as well. If the right person comes along great if not I’ll continue on  |

I’m alone and mostly happy with it but sometimes I miss company to chat with or cuddle with. Pros & cons to all life situations at the end of the day, you just have to be content with what you have or work at changing it (not always easy, sometimes harder than others but always a possibility) |

That sounds good. Also would be nice to have a man around to do some repairs but like you i enjoy my own space and company. |

being single doesn't bother me yes I miss the closeness a relationship can bring cuddles on the sofa laughing at each other but when i look back on it those were moments and not everyday occasions and how can anyone be lonely when here on fab theres someone to chat to whether it be in the forums or chat rooms or the one in a million chance you get a reply to a message being single means I can focus on me and do things I want to do |
