Two of my favourites probably wouldn't qualify as phwoar. Ruth Goodman and a woman whose name I can't darn well remember. She's got long, greyish hair and is a bit scruffy.

Definately Suzannah Lipscomb .... I’ve adored her for years.

I’m sure if she’d have been my history teacher I may have had problem concentrating!!!

Me too! There's something so attractive (in a non sexual way) about someone who knows so much and shares it without patronising.

I was about to say I have a platonic crush on Mary Beard for exactly the reasons you describe. People who can impart their knowledge (particularly of a subject you find interesting) in a natural and engaging manner really grab your attention. I've seen her interview others in a very thought provoking and empathetic way (e.g. Clive James shortly before his death) that made me admire her more. She's so clever and down to earth you can imagine she'd be a great laugh at a dinner party and it makes me really cross that her appearance (which is fine, she's not likely to scare the horses!) has been derided in the past.

I definitely have a thing for Bettany Hughes. I find I have to watch everything she does. Not just because she's totally phwoar but because her programmes are genuinely interesting and her passion and knowledge of the subject comes across and makes for informative as well as entertaining viewing.

I must also give a shout out to Mary Beard. If every TV presenter was like her I'd probably watch more TV. I recently caught a programme she did on Julius Caesar that in some run-of-the-mill presenters hands would have probably been a very dry affair. But she injects everything with a kind of girlish enthusiasm that draws you in completely. She knows her subject backwards and wants to share that obvious passion and knowledge she has with the audience. I find her style so refreshing. And all of it done in a non-pompous and patronising way. I absolutely loved the recent Front Row Late series she did from her home while in lockdown. It was one of the most enjoyable things I've watched in ages. Her video chat with Emilia Clarke was genuinely one my favourite TV moments of the year. Mary Beard and Emilia Clarke talking about poetry. That was TV heaven for me.

There and to the left a bit

Lucy Worsley and Alice Roberts for me - not only do they both present history in an interesting and accessible way without coming across in the slightest bit superior, as some presenters of more high brow subjects can - but they both have more than a twinkle of naughtiness about them

Be more than happy to give a dna sample to Alice Roberts. Bettany Hughes needs to drop a few dress sizes... Clearly been at the pies too much.. Shame.

I bet those history presenters are well pleased that some perverts like us with pics of our arse and tits are foaming at the mouth over them on a sex site. All that knowledge, experience, and presenting skill brought down to whether we'd like to fuck them?

I wonder how they'd rate us given the chance....? Fab is dead funny at times....
