I would suggest rubbing some Asda olive oil on it (it's the best don't let anyone tell you otherwise) and then gently press your knee against a warm radiator. X

Your knee might be hurting because its becoming weak and needs strengthening,look up and try some band work exercises.

I've been told by my physio that most knee pain is associated with tight muscles. Quads, hams, calf's etc.

Apparently only a small number are actually to do with the actual knee.

Suggest stretching all your leg muscles at least once a day - massage , it foam roll

Hope it gets better
