If I wanted a convertible and I had 20k to spend what would you suggest?
I’m single with no kids around so I’m looking for something fun, not necessarily fast, that looks good and is fun to drive. |

If you can live with two seats...
An MX5. Excellent to drive, fun, front engine rear wheel drive, reliable, cost effective, well within budget, and almost in a class of its own.
If driving dynamics are important, focus on convertibles built on their own platform rather than derived from a saloon or hatchback. |

A box at end of your bed |
"I personally would think fuck the car and go for a Motorcycle but that just me.
I want the wind in my hair. To be seen and not have helmet hair. "
In that case I would go for a Rewaco or Boom trike fantastic pieces of kit but you may need more then 20k if buying new. |

2/4 seater? Newer/classic?
S2000 is fantastic.. or should i say were, ive owned afew over the years and broken loads down for parts. its very very hard to get one thats not rotted away now . They have alot of problem areas now days.
Slk are a nice choice but are riddled with electrical gremlins 2010-2016 shape.
A good solid 2 seater id recommended is a porsche boxter, solid reliable cheap for parts and hold their value and feel special to drive |

Two seater.
I’d prefer a solid folding roof than a rag top so it’s more secure and pleasant in the winter.
I’d like a modern car rather than a classic.
I do like a car with some go, I have an old (‘96) Bmw m3 evolution. But I’m not so fussed about so much power now. |

I still need a Bodyworker to sort it. It’s mechanically sorted. I will probably use the money from it on top of my budget to get something nice. |

Iveco daily with the windows open hi top in white.
If you have the cash why not go for a few test drives to try them out first. Then bangle them on the price.
Enjoy

I already have a van. A Renault trafic. It has Aircon and electric windows. I like it and drive it in preference to my cars most of the time. |

S2000’s carry too much of a premium now as they’re such a good drivers car.
If you’re wanting a comfy, modern classic that can pick its heels up if needed, go with a Merc SL as has been said before. Big, luxury, drop top barge |
