So, for those that don’t read a long post the question is this
Pray tell….who are you thankful to for making a difference in your life, and why?
Respectively, For the rest...Here’s mine!
A year ago today I physically met an individual who changed my world quite literally, before meeting this person
I knew this friendship would be different to any other and I (we) were right!
Now, they have since become an amazing friend. This person gave me something I had never had before, this being desire
A hope and a belief that I could have something I didn’t think existed. Something more than just being ok, settling for being ‘safe’ and getting by, doing right by everyone else
Never had I thought there was more out there! I was opened to the possibility that in being open, and letting people in life was so much more vibrant
It changed my outlook and has made me a fuller much better, happier, confident person than I was before:
More importantly I have belief and hope for the better things to come, and as we know things come our way when we are open to them.
And in that letting someone in doesn’t mean letting go of who you are, but embracing another to your world and you theirs
Lesson… More whatever your more is, whatever it means to you and what context that takes, friend, lover or soulmate – it does exist if you’re willing to put the fear to one side.
God I do go on!
Right, so So in short I wanted to say Thank you.
Oodles of Thank you for being that person who gave light in a dark world
Where ever you are what ever you do, someone is there for you.
Look for them, don’t hide. x
For those who have read and forgotten the question.... Who are you thankful to for making a difference in your life and why?

I am extremely thankful for Jo! Ever since she came into my life I have felt like me! She completes me and has made me a better person!
Not one minute goes by where I’m not thankful for her! The best mum, wife, lover and friend I could have wished for
(I hope this gets me a blow job!! )

So one of the biggest influences on my life were 2 bosses I had. One told me not to pursue the career I had did my degree for and go do a PhD. The other was my PhD supervisor who is the most intelligent man I have ever met and he told me to let go of my past and that I was valid as a person. And that I could make a difference to the world if I so wished. |

"Ah this is lovely and something I've learnt relatively recently too. It's a beautiful thing to allow yourself to open and let them in "
It really is. I am much a different person to who I used to be. It’s some thing I hadn’t acknowledged until old friends would comment on little things. |

A ranking officer who when I simply wanted to quit said " And then what? Quitting puts you in another situation with new problems it doesn't fix the pain you feel now".

To be honest, most recently it's been you lot on here
I've had confidence issues and hated my body pretty much all of my life.
This year I've been doing things to work through that, but since joining here, the amount of nice comments I've received from some absolutley lovely and beautiful people has really given me a massive boost.
So, thank you to all of you!
I'm now feeling happier and more confident than I ever have

I’ve been thinking about this and apart from the usual, parents, children, friends, my kids’ dad there isn’t anyone in particular. I’ve always sort of made my own decisions, never been influenced or saved as such. Bit sad really I guess. Although there’s time yet |

It’s not sad at all. I guess sometimes we meet people who influence or not even that it’s the wrong word. I guess I was shown a hope and different side to life than I’d experienced to that point. Which has since opened other doors. Right time and place for what ever the reason.x as you said there time yet. |

I’m very lucky to of had quite a few people that have made a huge difference to my life and I’m thankful for them all.
The ones who believed in me as an angry and misinformed young man spring to mind immediately.
Teachers and then one coach in particular.
Most of all the woman that never gave up on me even through some truly crazy things I’ve done. |

My ex friends. They showed me that I don't need them and I shouldn't trust anyone. There isn't anyone there for me, I am totally alone. |

Teachers can make such a difference. The difference one made to my daughter is incredible! I think we all have a particular teacher for many reasons we can be thankful for! |
