London

I spent a cracking day on a naturist beach today, sooo needed.

I was chuckling to see the same behaviour of some single men there reminiscent of the walking wanking in clubs. One woman was lost in her naked world, just being. In and out of the sea, stretching and laying out in the sun and drawing in the sand, she looked comfortable and free.

Cue men randomly wandering past, trying to get as close as possible, catching her eye, mimicking her behaviour in the hope of getting contact, one old fella came and stood over her all smiley and kind whilst she ignored him and carried on with her picture. He stayed, looming over her, hands on thighs for a couple of minutes.

She was brilliant but I was so sad that like all women, she has to manage the expectations of others without provoking them.

Yes in Europe you can feel at ease on a naturist beach, whole families go on them, it’s a different story here unfortunately

shits creek

She was asking for the attention by being all nudey.

Attention seeking tit waver, being all free and alone.

People shouldn't need a tattoo on their arse saying "back the fuck off, you wouldn't be this close if I was a man"

I'm not a big traveller but it would be worth it to avoid what I saw today. The beach I was at does have families there but none today.

What a ridiculous thing to say. A naturist beach is for everyone, the only people who should be banned are those who don't treat it as such.

That’s what puts me off going to the one near me. I love naturist beaches as I love an even tan. I get that there’s always going to be glances- the same as if you were in a bikini on a main beach- but it’s the leering/loitering and obvious staring that I get annoyed by.

That’s not true, we took our children in Greece, it was a family beach

I hear you. It was a joy to watch her (unobtrusively of course) and it reminded me of watching a child on a beach when they are lost in their imaginations.

We were on a naturist beach near us, minding our own business and a guy literally stood (fully clothed) over us staring. "you're hidden away" he said

"yes to avoid the likes of you" was the reply

...and I will give you plenty of examples of now grown children who loved it and continue to do it.

Your parents were negligent in stopping that behaviour.

You're going to compare those two decades to now? I know we still have a long way to go but that was an entirely different era.

It was the place for us and our kids, we were in a club, it was just us and our friends, you had a terrible experience and that’s your opinion based on it, it’s not my families experience and we had great times there.
