Inbox deletion

As some of you are aware, I've recently returned after a 7 month hiatus. Upon returning, all of my inboxes have been cleared. Does anyone have any idea as to why that would've happened?

Do they not automatically delete after a certain timescale

Yes they fall off the bottom after a certain length of time, unless you save them OP

Mine was empty when I came back all but relatively recent messages that people had sent to an inactive profile.

I had a long break a few years ago and same happened

Think they are deleted after a certain time period

When I recently took a long hiatus I come back to no messages, this was mostly in part to no one messaging me.

It's not that they fell off. My message folders are empty

Yep. After a month-ish, they vanish like they never existed unless saved.

Ah OK. Not just us then.

I guess it's all about server space etc. They've got to make room for all of those "hey", "meet now", messages!

Not sure of the exact timescale, but unless you specifically save them, messages are automatically deleted by the site after a certain period of time.

Sorry, I mean the oldest disappear from the bottom, that's why I said fall off the bottom, that's just how I see it, not sure of time frame.
