It’s hard to pick a city break with not knowing what restrictions are in place. I always enjoy a city break to bath. Usually visit the Roman baths. Afternoon tea in the pump room or sally Luns. Look around the shops. Normally a visit to the bath spa (if it’s open?) then out that evening at one of the very good restaurants.
York or Harrogate are lovely to visit too |

"Rhyl
This.
That "
Rhyl has been subject to lockdown since 1812 and banned gatherings of more than one person anywhere, in an effort to prevent it being replicated anywhere in the world.
Irresponsible and stupid advice. |

"I have time off in october, was supposed to be going gran canaria but not now, so looking to visit somewere in the uk .
So any suggestions where? And what's to do there "
All depends on what rules are in place but I'd say that it's got to be a multi city break.
London for the museums, history, shopping, etc
Then the coast for fresh air, walks along the beach and chill out time (somewhere like Brighton)
Or
Base yourself somewhere like Plymouth so you've got history and shops and the sea and then do day trips to the beautiful beaches and fishing harbours within easy reach.
Enjoy your break wherever you go |

The weather in the UK isn't going to be great in October so visit somewhere interesting with things to see. Or you could just go to Blackpool as the lights will be on. |

In no particular order...
Bath
Chester
York
Edinburgh
Liverpool
Plymouth
Glasgow
Stratford upon Avon
Cardiff
All have something to offer...
Probably the jewel in the crown is Edinburgh...
Especially now ..as wont have the normal numbers it normally attracts... |

London |
London is great to visit at moment as its deserted and there are no tourists or office workers.
Lorna and I went to canary wharf recently to have a look around and enjoyed our afternoon there.
There are also lots of places to visit in London for free. |
