What does a promise mean to you?
Do you make promises willy nilly, only make promises you know you can keep, go out of your way to keep a promise?
Do you expect others to keep their promises to you? |

I won't make promises I can't be sure I can keep.
So, in that instance I will promise to do my best.
A promise to me is sacred.
It's a trust between 2 people.
If someone can't keep their promise (take marriage vows for example) then I expect it to be talked about, not just have that broken.

There and to the left a bit |
A promise to me is something I can do or deliver on, and I only make them if I know I can, or have a very good chance of being able to - so no I don't make them rashly...
...and I'd expect the same treatment from people that make me promises |

Never use the word promise.
If I say I'm going to do something, I do it and if I can't, I'll let them know.
Circumstances change and using that one word doesn't provide another layer of security like most people think |
