Was just looking through a few things and stumbled upon a print out of an email from 1996 where my then girlfriend was telling me for the first time that she loved me.
Also made me think that in the early days of using email I used to print them out and treat them more like letters. Not now. It's all read - delete and maybe archive.
Just weird. |

"On email?
You're supposed to say it face to face first time aren't you? "
In the email it says she was in Wales at the time and was missing me more than she thought she would. Now it'd be 'I U' in SMS or a message app. |

I remember the first time I told S I loved him. It was in the entrance to our sixth form block and we'd just kissed and were heading the opposite way to lessons. He didn't reply straightaway, he had a think about it and he said he loved me by text message, I seem to recall. Might have been a phone call, but I think it was text |

"our first PC was in 2000 or 2001?! Omg dial up Internet your phone line would be engaged all night lol."
I grew up with computers. Can't remember a time when there wasn't one in the house. Yes, phone was engaged alot. Could only use it after 6 as well when cheap rate kicked in. |

"First ever email was sent in 1971 "
You could argue the first 'email' was sent in the 1840s with the advent of electrical telegraphy. But the first message sent with using the '@' symbol in the adress was in 1971 using ARPANET. |
