So, Ladies and Gents - how honest are we/you? :-)

Hello my lovelies. 
Most people who read the forums regularly or glance at profiles regularly will be aware that thanks to the bloody menopause I’ve gained a couple of stones.
Whilst most of my public pics are older/slimmer ones I’ve included in friends (and one temporally public) a few very recent ‘warts an all’ unfiltered, Un-photoshopped pics which, it has to be said, are most unflattering.
Whilst I’m aware some will still want to get jiggy with me, some obviously won’t, and had I not been so honest I could probably ‘trade’ off my older, slimmer, younger pictures and meet guys who might not fancy the ‘real’ me!
Also - being honest has just got me informed I look at least 61 by a charming silhouette who messaged me! 
So - bearing in mind the potentially negative outcomes - how honest are you when it comes to your pictures? Are they flattering older pics? Totally ‘warts and all’ pics? Or a combination of all like mine?
And what makes you select the pics you use on your profile?

Our pics show us, you can clearly see what our bodies look like and we have recent face pics in our friends only gallery.
No point hiding anything, they'll see when they meet us...besides, we think we look pretty decent   |

Good question peachy. Id like to think mine are a decent representation of my current form!
Im fortunate enough that the onky real changes ive had the last 2 yeara is shaving my head and weight fluxuation up and down over no more than about 10lbs |

Aside from use of shadows and tints I am who I am, skinny, shaven headed (slap head) ugly fella. Of course I try my best with pictures but i try not make too much of who I am, I cannot bear the crushing disappointment of the viewer. |

Mine are all recent, but I usually miss my stomach out. That IS in friends pics though.

Mine are honest in that they are me and recent. However I obviously choose photos that are flattering.
I don't think that's deception. I think everyone does that.
I've not yet met anyone who has run away scared so it must be ok.
That said I'm currently in my pj's rocking yesterday's hair and make up, eating ice cream from the tub. It's not a look I'd share! |

Our profile reflects us I think!
Also we have pictures from over a year ago where I am alot slimmer than what I am now. The pictures we take now are a true representation of what we look like today. I'm still the same person just chubbier..!

Im not going to lie, a few of mine have been smoothed over as they're often taken in a bad light or have other things that need cropping out but there are also some warts and all pics on my profile too.
I've never liked having my photo taken and still don't to this day so it feels awkward and shows too.
Thankfully in person im told my pics dont show me off in the best light either so I take some solace for that and never have I been told I look my age either, always younger. Now that could be blowing smoke up my arse or it could be true. Whatever it is, im thankful for those who have taken me as i am and im glad i can call many of the lovely people on fab my friends x |

We love a good black and white shot here and there, something very alluring about the contrast. But other than that, we'd prefer to see the real person over the photoshopped version any day of the week. We prefer to dress up in our pics than be naked, but that's more to do with the fact that we like to tease rather than hiding flaws

There are some right prats on here, we’ve had a few messages like that. I don’t know what they get out of it, surely if they’re not interested then why do they waste their own time to message insults. Your nipples look magnificent. |

I try and post full length mirror pics so people can see I’m fat. The full length black one is from 2 weekends ago so up to date. Face photos are a mix but I always suggest webcamming or sending a video unfiltered before a new meet so they can see exactly what I look like. I personally think I look better on photos |

I think your photos are great. As for the unkind comments....personally I think the posters who sent them to you should be kicked off...a bit extreme I know but there are thousands of people on here...someone for everyone. If you look at a profile and have those thoughts then simply move along ffs...absolutely no need to be so rude let alone the damage such a comment could do to someone’s self esteem. Flame xx |

my photos were taken in last month. Not filtered so true reflection of me
I've battled hard since January to lose medication/menopause weight. Was tough at 1 lb a week loss

Any new photo has been took that day or the previous week so is totally me at that moment.
Photos don’t wobble so I have a few videos that occasionally come out that show the wobble and the hidden belly ridge.

I really don’t like it when people do this as all it makes me think they have something to hide.
My profile pic was taken last night. 100% me. Was just before a 3 hour cam season with my bf.

I have a couple of old pics in my friends list, but that's just because I thought they were good pics, and liked what I was wearing. Only time I use a filter, is when I go black & white, not sure that's the same though. |

I personally pick ones that I feel good about and obviously flattering angles but I make sure there’s also one or two up to date ones especially after lockdown to show my slightly curvier curves

We will always send recent face pics when we get chatting with someone, we like to think our pics are a true representation of us. If we ever come across a situation where someone likes or pics but don't like what they see when we meet then cool no probs, that's there opinion and fair enough |

My pictures are clearly filtered and edited, but I think that's ok because I don't lie about it in my bio (in fact I'm outright and open about it) and I also post public videos which are unedited and very much show the real me and my body in full.
I'll also send several live pics and videos to any guy I'm considering meeting via Snapchat so he can see me again, to make his mind up.
If guys can't be bothered to read my bio, that's really not my problem.
If after all of that I'm still considered to be wrong for filtering my pics, then I still don't care, cos I do this for me |

I never ever edit my body shape, I just know how to pose and light my photos well, and obviously I take them from a flattering angle. Basically I show my best side. But they're all recent and I upload new ones regularly.
I also have some totally raw, unposed, badly lit photos which are set to friends only, so people can see all sides of me. |

I did media studies, so am good at taking photos.
There is definitely a visible change between my first photo in 2018 and the last few 2-3 weeks ago... about 1 1/2 stone. I do tell people that I’ve put on some weight during lockdown... doesn’t seem to bother anyone really! but I’d never mislead anyone with my photos. I’ve had that done to me and it’s not pleasant. |

Also - being honest has just got me informed I look at least 61 by a charming silhouette who messaged me!
So - bearing in mind the potentially negative outcomes - how honest are you when it comes to your pictures? Are they flattering older pics? Totally ‘warts and all’ pics? Or a combination of all like mine?
And what makes you select the pics you use on your profile?

I do try to use flattering angles and lighting, but I draw the line at Photoshop or filters. My pics show the real me, as evidenced by the quite obvious lockdown chub I'm sporting on the most recent ones! "

I like to give a fairly honest picture. I don't show my stomach because nobody deserves to stumble across that when they're just trying to see some tits  , but there are some full length photos that clearly show my size.
I'm here to meet (when covid allows), and I've never thought that crushing disappointment over being catfished is a great start to a social.
Yes the photos are mostly flattering angles/cropped (and one in my friends photos is ancient but was uploaded for a reason), but I think I'm recognizably the same person.
If I was going to get catfishy I wouldn't use the photos I've got up, I'd at least use pics of someone with a much more attractive figure |

Ours are all taken this calendar year. S is incapable of gaining weight, so his weight will be the same forever. He has maybe acquired a few more grey hairs recently
My pics show the reality, I just choose to avoid photographing my jiggly belly too much  |

Ours are fairly accurate , we update them regularly. We’ve had a few surprises when meeting tbh but none of that matters much , a bit of insecurity is forgivable - if the person has a nice spiritual they are good for us |

We don't photoshop. We've converted some to B&W and use cropping, usually to get rid of some crud in the background! I have used some "vintage" type filters, if it worked for the image for forum challenge pictures (which have labels on). There's also one Easter pic where I put silly pics on my nipples, but that was for fun, not to obscure what they look like (there are nipple pics on there too). |

I just google hot guy and posted that as my profile pic. The real me is a white cartoon dog that speaks and goes on adventures with a really clever baby but no one would ever believe that so I'm forced to lie. |

We keep ours extremely honest. Don't really see the point in posting untrue images of ourselves if we want to meet people. I'd hate to get all the way to a meet then that person not be attracted to me.
Honesty is something we value a lot so if someone were to mislead us with their photos we wouldn't be happy at all.
It's actually happened to us in the past and it was disappointing and unnecessarily awkward.
