Do some people take risks? Its a question I ve always been asked about my ventures and my work. I ve cleared dangerous blockages in rivers, I ve dug through collapsed sections in old mines, swung down 300ft cave and mine shafts etc. My work and play are high risk. My grandad during the war was asked to join the new parachute regt or airborne as it was then and his answer was he couldn t see the point of jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft. He asked me why when I started to do just that. I ve been called a hero after rescuing dogs from shafts. Im not. Its a skill set thats all. I spend time assessing and putting in place safety to help me stay alive. My answer has always been that if people didn t take that risk we would not know what we know now...Scott, Hilary..all the sailors that pushed the oceans at times when it was believed the earth was flat. So why do you take risks, what drives you? What would make you step outside your safety zone?

I honestly don't. I am too afraid of getting hurt.

I wanted to get into mountain biking but after seeing few videos of guy falling hard I have decided to watch mountain biking on YouTube while sitting on my bike instead.

But then I bet thete are things you do that others wouldn t. Its like the word adventure. To many this means hacking through some jungle in a far off place but to me an adventure can be going to a club for the first time or being tied and vulnerable during sex or even jumping on a plane on your own for the first time and visiting a country with a different language.

Solihull

Quite happy to step out of my comfort zone to experience new things.

Life's short and I don't want to think I wish I'd tried that but can't now.

I don't always think the safety through properly though

This was supposed to be my year of adventure - to finally start doing things just because I wanted to. To go to festivals and holidays on my own...

I think that brought on the apocalypse instead

I take my life in to my own hands every day when I get in my pickup and so do all the other absaloute brain dead idiots that occupy the roads. With a special shout out to the drivers of Milton Keynes which are the worst drivers in the world and I have driven in India so thats saying something.

I used to tell people that if something becomes a desire or a curiousity then just do it, rather than be sitting in a pub some day many years down the line wondering what if? If is a part of life...its whether you answer it or not...if you don t like it then at least you ll know.

Being on Fab is my adventure at the moment. I tend to hide away and then get antsy and just throw myself into something without preparing first then hide away again. I'm aiming to stay in sight longer this time

Yeah I understand that. I was supposed to have performed dance publicly on a huge scale this year...3 years ago you could not have dragged me out of hiding in the shadows..then, as you say, the apocalypse brought out its horsemen

They could have at least done the decent thing and contained it to the end of the year or something rather than just wipe the whole year
