I think it depends how much they owe you as it can be expensive pursuing them.
Maybe try one of those 30 minute free legal consultation things.

Check with the Small Claims Courts, as they have limits above which they'll refer you elsewhere. They'll be your best first approach! |

Small claims court - up to £10,000.
Check on internet just to make sure!
You could also try "Citizens Advice" but you may have to wait for appointment & if they are still functioning in Covid... |

I used the online small claims system, brilliant. Local County Council paid up for lieing about when a road was last inspected. They tried at first to refute my earlier emails, by saying the road was inspected on a certain date in the past 12 months. I supplied proof from Google maps which has a feature to view previous views, challenged them and they still refuted. Then used the freedom of information route to get the history of when the road was inspected, they failed to respond within the required timescale, so I raised the small claim.
Can imagine the leader of the council tearing his legal department a new one for blatantly lieing and failing to respond to a FOI request. |

1) depends who allegedly owes
2) depends on the terms of money owed
3) was there documented binding contact to prove beach of terms
... Email/texts etc are much more easier to claim for than any "he said/she said" or because you "think they should" |

If it's under a tenner I'll pay it for them just incase they've hit hard times so you can put the sad story to bed

It depends on what you have in writing in a written agreement and what the original terms were. |
