Not sure if many have been following this technology or research, but was wondering if anyone has thoughts or opinions on this.

If in theory, it is possible, and people could have this implanted and say for instance, could cure a neurological disorder (and other ailments) there is a possibility that other brain functions, again in theory, being increased. Where would that lead?

There is people already arguing that we have already started interfacing ourselves with computers and machines (smartphones/tablets) but would this be the same? Or simply the next step in our evolution? What sort of problems would possibly arise?

You might be right there but what if this, technology is only available to certain people.. What if others, for whatever reason don't wish to have it?

Its moving on to the next step, lobotomies were practiced in the 1940/50 and recorded some interesting results, tech brain implants are the way forward now

Nobody would ever *have* to have it I don't think the same way that nobody *has* to have a smartphone. There may come a day, centuries, in the future where it's a necessity to function in modern society with one but that would be a moral problem for he next generations who would be better adapted to handle it.

They certainly did, and although contraversial, a lot can be said for EST. I have an interest in the subject as with working people with disabilities and a family member having severe Narcolepsy
