Is Geoff from Corrie the baddest of all soap baddies, a horrible horrible man, not one redeeming feature. The sooner he gets his just deserts the better.

little house on the praire

I didnt watch it last night but its a very good storyline. How you can destroy a partner without laying a finger on them. Hopefully some woman will watch it and realize their in an abusive relationship and have the courage to leave. I was in a physical and violent relationship many years ago when i was young. Thankfully it didnt destroy me once it was over and i rose like a phonex through the flames

It was one of them story lines that make you not want to watch, but like you say, if it raises awareness it serves its purpose.

I've not watched it properly as I'm not a soap person, but the bits I have seen make me laugh in a weird way coz it's when people get all aggy about it and are shocked. So it's not what I'm watching that makes me laugh, and laugh isn't quite the right word but I'm not sure how to describe it, it's more of an exhale of relief that finally they understand just a little bit more.

You know when the penny finally drops and you think, I've told ya time and again but now someone else has shown ya, only now do you understand.

I've been there.

It's far wider spread and more prevalent than people realise.

Yes, I broke 15 months after I got out, and I'm not the same person I was, who am I now? Someone who understands far more deeply than I used to. I do take things personally and can quite easily feel attacked especially when lied to. I despise lies because of it. They lie to manipulate, they lie to instill fear and control. They lie to make you believe you NEED them, that you can't survive without them. They lie to isolate you.

Yeah, it's left me with scars, but I'm still a decent human but fuck me.... try to manipulate me now and you're gone from my life.
