I used to perform burlesque and fecking loved it! However, it's been a while (years) and I'm not sure I'd be any good anymore...
J has been waiting forever (well, the almost 5 years we've been seeing each other) for me to give him a private performance.
Many times I've promised him a burlesque-y lap dance. And so far I've not had the minerals to do it
What am I waiting for?
Should I just chuck a few drinks down my neck and get it done this weekend?
Have you ever danced for your partner? Or anyone?
We're you as much of a pussy about it as I'm being?

"if you used to perform it whats stopping you now?
do it ffs!!!
Somehow it's easier performing for a room full of strangers than my boyfriend...
odd"
Why's that odd?
I'm not overly bothered what strangers think of me...i was there to enjoy myself.
I'd be performing for him...i want him to enjoy it, I care what he thinks....hence the nerves. |

I've done it. It's often more fun if you can have a laugh while you do. An ex play partner made me do the teapot dance during a strip tease for her and my partner at the time. I still smile thinking about it now. |

Go for it! I'm positive that your partner will lose his mind and love every second. If you need a drink to relax you then have a few. But definitely give him the burlesque experience. |

I've performed strippery pole/chair dance in the studio I train at and completely agree with you here. My bf at the time was in the audience so of course it was sexy/slutty for him but I didn't mind performing with a room of others there. On and 1 to 1 situation though I would freak out haha! I don't know why though but yeah maybe because it's so much more intimate?
But yes you should have a couple cheeky gins and maybe a tequila and just go for it |

Do it only if you feel comfortable enough. Vulnerability is beautiful but sometimes it's not the right thing to put yourself in a challenging position.
Take turns.. Share instead of perform? |

He won't dance full stop.
He's not one for being the centre of attention. |

You should do it! Regardless of how technically good it may be, you'll be giving your man a lapdance and I'll bet he'll love it. I know I'd enjoy it! |

One thing is certain...if I do it, I will definitely be having a drink or 3 |

In my 20s when I (Luke) was much fitter than I am now, I had a friend who was a professional dance instructor. She used to run burlesque classes and hen nights. She needed strippers for the hen nights so she asked some of the guys she knew, including me, to save on agency fees. She created a full choreographed routine for me which a couple of lovers have seen.
A small number of Fab ladies have expressed an interest in seeing it. Some day after lockdown I may do it again. If anybody wants to join the party do let us know. |

I ve lap danced for my girl and up until a few months ago we d dance slow blues or jive together or she d see me putting together a contemporary dance. She and her gf have asked me to do a kilted striptease film for them which I ll do in next few days. Just go for it girl..but I get it if its a confidence thing or the desire. Most of my dance stopped a few months ago as their doesn t seem to be a point now and it frustrates and upsets me that I can only dance in my home or alone in the wilds, so I dont bother. |

If you've been together five years, then I doubt you'd find a more supportive or appreciative audience than him. Do it! |

Great song choice!
I'm thinking either closer by nine inch nails or go fuck yourself by two feet. Probably the latter as it's only a minute and a half long |

I go to dance classes every week before covid. And it's just confidence, why don't you find your music and set yourself a routine so that it eliminates nerves a bit?
Since I've no class to go to started a routine and I video it so I don't forget it. It's all about confidence you've got the moves, get back into your dance groove. |

Go for it, once you get started you’ll enjoy it as much as he is! I’ll dance for my partner now and again, or in a club for some lady friends. Or pretty much anyone who’s in viewing distance after a vino or two. |
