Overdue hello and introduction

TL;DR bit

Hello, allow me to introduce myself. If this is the beginning of your Fab journey say 'hi'. I have mood swings (maybe you do as well). If I have been messaging with you over the last few weeks and I've gone quiet and you wish to continue messaging then let me know (it may sometimes be sporadic or full on). I will not message you first unless part of a forum game. If you message me I will reply but will not message again if you don't reply to my reply.

This is the first post in a series of posts introducing myself. Like any of my threads it is for me first and others second. You can comment but I will not reply to comments. You can PM me and I will reply. As always on the forum if you have something unpleasant to say then please keep it to your self otherwise I will report it.

Some of what I have written above will make sense as I continue to post....

You seem like a decent enough guy to me, you dont need to justify yourself to any of us! If you're comfortable sharing and you think it will benefit you then go right ahead fella, some of what you have said so far reminds me of myself.

I probably came in to the forum a couple of months ago with all guns blazing on weird and wacky threads, coming on strong with flirting and generally either making you laugh or irritating the hell out of you.

This is not I'm a nice guy send me fluffy things and sexual things. I'm not a particularly fluffy guy and I can be nice, but also a bastard (as a few ex's would attest to), moody, quiet, shy, fun, idiotic, humorous, off the wall, flirty (and full on), interesting (fascinating even) and boring as anything.

This is not even a isn't Fab crap because Fab is neither crap nor brilliant. It is just a website. Everyone makes Fab what they want it to be - for some it'll be the best thing ever and for others the worst thing ever with everything inbetween. For me I don't know what it is yet.

This is an introduction and hello. Yes, I have mood swings. Anything new and interesting gives me that dopamine rush and high and away I go and then I will crash dip low, get disheartened and my mood will flatten. Last Wednesday was when I was reaching peak high and Thursday came the crash and now I have fairly flattened. Which is why any messaging has stopped because I become withdrawn. This is the time I would usually get disillusioned with a website like fab and delete the profile. This time I don't want to. I want to hang in there and keep going on the forum at a minimum hence these posts (think of it as therapy and it might help someone else).

I have had panic attacks and anxiety which I can manage fairly well (mostly panics are brief if they occur) it's just the mood swings to contend with. I know what mood I'm in at any one time and I know each mood won't last forever but it can be tricky to dial down behaviour - it's a matter of riding them out when they occur.

You're right OP, writing down your thoughts can be great therapy, even if you don't plan on letting anybody else read.

Personally I'm intrigued by what you have to write as I'm also withdrawn and have moods where I'm up and down (mainly down) and its kinda reassuring to know I'm not the only one with the issues I have.

Don’t worry Paul as I think you’d be surprised how many people on here are in the same boat as yourself.!!!

Stay happy and safe.

Agoraphobic sociophobes whose only human interaction is the fab forums?!

Happiness eludes me but I am safe

Fab, at the moment, is the first time I have put myself out there in a long time - and it's nerve wracking and exciting all at the same time.

And I see this as the beginning of a journey which may be stuck in stasis for awhile. I enjoy the forums, posting threads, commenting and joining in with some of the games. If I'm not particularly active I will probably be lurking and occasionally commenting.

The forums are the beginning of my fab journey (and I'm looking to walk before running). And being of a writerly persuasion I may be documenting more stuff like this as it's always good to get things out and not to keep stuff bottled up.

The forum can be quite cathartic, you won’t be the only one who feels this way, threads like this allow others to go “ohh that’s me too” and they may not have voiced that before, it helps you write down your good days and your bad days and there are always people here willing to lend an ear or an inbox
