I’ve recently bought my first house and it has a pampas grass in the front garden, a friend of mine keeps calling it a “swingers bush” after googling it apparently if you have it in your front garden it’s a sign that you are a swinger? Just curious about how true this is as I have never heard of that |

Here are the facts:
You have a pampas grass bush in your front garden.
You are asking this question on fabswingers to a load of swingers with pictures of their genitalia on display.
It seems to me that your friend is correct.
You are a swinger. |

"Makes you wonder where all these myths start up. My grandparents had some in their garden, all I remember is that it gave vicious paper like cuts. "
Your grandparents sound awful |

Yeah brutal they were, but damn retrieving lost balls from that thing, was like some kind of sadistic medieval torture |

The lady who runs the local Sunday school has a magnificent pampas in her front garden. Pretty sure she would be digging it up if it resulted in a tonne of people knocking on the door wanting sexual encounters
We don’t have space for pampas so I am experimenting with stipa tenuissima as a compact alternative, does anyone think it will catch on? |

Not sure about that.
Have you planted it in any kind of style and is your fanny shaved? |

It’s currently in a large, plain terra-cotta pot but I am keeping my eyes peeled for an Ancient Greek inspired urn with depictions of all sorts of carnal activity, etsy isn’t coming up with the goods just yet though.
My fanny is indeed shaved but that’s not usually on display in the front garden |

"OP you're too young to know about all those silly things they used to do in the 60's!
They are lovely plants, I've got one and no one has ever knocked at my door "
That's only because you've got a lovely bell. |

Torridge area of Devon |
Think it used to be thought of in that way, along with a turned upside down pineapple in a shopping trolley, or a chain on the Left ankle.
Some will argue that everyone on here swings, but we all know not everyone does.. |
