Jekyll and Hyde - Which is the Real You?

I always get a sense of total clarity after sex and feel like I'm back to normal again and then within hours (sometimes minutes) the sex crazed version of me takes over again and I can't think straight until I've had sex again. Ever wonder which side of you is the real you? Do we really live with fleeting moments of clarity and use those brief moments to get the day's work done, but are largely dominated and distracted by our overwhelming impulses for sex which controls most of our thoughts and actions - even on a subconscious level? Do you believe one side dominates the other, and the more we try to supress it, and fight it, the more it consumes our thoughts and actions? Do you feel sometimes that your life is played out like Jekyll and Hyde with two versions of your personality fighting for supreme control which makes you do incredibly risky things? Do you ever use sex just to get it out of your system just to return to the real you again, or do you see that as the real illusion?

Do you see yourself as the person you are 10 minutes before sex, or the person you are 10 minutes after sex? Is there a major difference - like you are looking at a total stranger?

Has this ever been used by a lawyer in court for somebody's defence e.g. My client was under the influence of sex and not responsible for his/her actions?

I get this. I am very Jekyll and Hyde. One day I'm a demon and saying/doing things that shock even me, and the next it's the furthest thing from my mind!

Why are you drawing a division between the two 'versions' of you?

One thing I've learned is that, essentiality, whatever basic needs you have are constant, so it's not like you're in some utopian, idealistic would where sex and other needs are separate.

I would suspect, as with many people on here, your subconscious is looking to fulfill a bunch of shit you didn't when you were younger. I might be wrong, but so far I've been pretty spot on.

I'm not having a go by the way. It's essentially why I'm here and I find it fascinating.

I could talk about this stuff all night in person, but over text... Not so much.
