I didnt want to bring this onto another thread thats running, hence starting this one.
Growing up where you are ridiculed for your hair colour is all too familiar to many of you, I would imagine.
However, my recessive gene has turned out to be a great asset as an adult, men love it and a lot of women envy it!
So lets celebrate our diffferences, ginger and proud! |

Yep,
Hello ginge, how's your minge, is it red like your head?
Was the bane of my life.
Was pinned down in the final year or primary school to find out if the above ditty was correct.
Absolutely hated having ginger hair.
Now I absolutely love it |

Indeed. Red-headed women are generally hot, sultry and mysterious. And kinky af in my limited experience
I have occasionally thought of I see a red-headed teenage girl that life might not be that much fun right now - for the reasons the OP outlined - but you're going to be much in demand when you're older |

I have a natural ginger streak top of head, and my chin, although Beard is partly grey now, Ginger is from my gran but i've passed it only 3 of my 6 kids & women would often comment how lovely my youngest girl's hair was. I remember when she was 3 she had a white faux fur coat on with sunglasses, I put a red bandana on her and she looked like a little Axl Rose from Guns n' Roses. Sweet child o' mine |

Is this thread just for gingers or can a big eared git like me join in?
Apparently, in later life the women I've been with have told me they are just something extra to grab hold of lol |

There are some very beautiful red haired women on fab or in the media, I like things that make girls different from the norm' and stand out as exclusive... it helps to create that all important X factor.
Those who ridicule or make fun of are just picking up what stands out as being different, if it wasn't that then its body shape or skin tone as they've obviously brains the size of amoeba's... No matter what it is embrace what you've been given and love yourself. Mind you, if anyone knows of a cure for baldness do inbox me aye?

"Alright for women to have ginger hair. Us men are viewed as freaks .
False. I had my son with a ginger haired chap. Whilst it didn't work out, it was nothing to do with his hair colour. "
I’m not saying every woman . In my experience a lot of women admitted they won’t go with a ginger |

Because my natural colour is more auburn, I had no real issue growing up.
I’m more upset that the older I get the darker it’s growing in. I think I’ll permanently be dying it so I don’t go brown then grey like my dad did
At least I still have the skin and the freckles!

Hear what your saying, although I'm a red head. After years of taunting and abuse, I don't like the G word. |

The one where I had a baby with a ginger guy. Women do find ginger men attractive. It's nowt to do with the hair, and all about guy. There ginger douches, blonde douches, brown haired douches, bald douches etc. Hair colour is immaterial if a guy is decent, attractive etc. |

Someone on here told me this terrible story of her sister calling her 3 year old red-haired son names like ginger pubes and ginger minge to "get him used to the bullying he will get a school". I don't think it ever occurred that bullying isn't something you want to get used to. |

Only my beard and pubes are ginger so I wasn’t on the receiving end of the nasty stuff as a kid, well not for that anyway. I love my colouring and now I’m older I’ve gained two white stripes in the beard |

I personally love my husbands ginger hair. I was disappointed our kids took after me with regards to hair colour. I never understood why people picked on people with ginger hair at school |
